Fakarava Island
If you get bored on Fakarava Island in the French Polynesia then you just don’t know how to unwind and relax. This island is very undeveloped and perfect if you are interested in a true island vacation striped free of the cookie cutter resort seasoning.
Fakarava Island didn’t even have a paved road on it until 2003 when they were expecting the French president.
Fakarava Island is very close to Bora-Bora and Tahiti, but unlike it’s high tourist traffic neighbors, Fakarava Island’s population is only about 500 residents, making it the perfect place to unwind and get away from it all. There are plenty of
unique activities on Fakarava Island other thank just being lazy. You will find incredible hiking and trekking on your vacation to Fakarava Island and there is a nearby village called Tetamanu which is well worth the visit to get engulfed with island life.
