Tuolumne River Rafting

Tuolumne river rafting is home to stretches of class III - V level rapids. The trip is a beat down of about 18 miles and can take about 1 - 3 days with the peek season around April to October. Good nearby towns to visit for out of towners are Groveland and Yosemite National Park.

This slalom river has intense boulders and with intense whitewater and is California’s premier whitewater river. If you have what it takes for Tuolumne river rafting you'r in for a treat.

You can expect chutes, pools, and staircase rapids around every turn and combined with Yosemite National Park you have the perfect whitewater rafting trip in California.

Be prepared for a challenge with 18 miles of of class IV - V rapids with high water swells and 25 major rapids, in fact 14 of the rapids are stretches of rock, water and turbulenc'e.

You can get a boat in the river at Cherry Creek Trailhead and Meral’s pool. A lot of Tuolumne river is protected but you will get to some places to camp around Meral’s pool with 3 nicely developed campgrounds just upstream, and 13 undeveloped campsites downstream. Other sites to see on the river are hiking the trails, fishing, looking for wildlife and, Tuolumne river rafting.
